The science behind MyPelvi: how Magnetic stimulation activates the pelvic floor.

The pelvic floor is a muscle like any other — just hard to reach. MyPelvi uses a highly focused magnetic field that stimulates the relevant nerves and triggers thousands of contractions per session. Without active exercising, without skin contact, fully clothed and seated. Here we explain how it works in plain terms.

  • Non-invasive
  • Painless
  • Without skin contact
  • Fully clothed

The principle

A magnetic field that engages the muscle for you engages.

Every muscle movement begins with a nerve impulse. A pulsating magnetic field can trigger these impulses from the outside: it penetrates clothing and tissue without contact and stimulates the motor nerves of the pelvic floor muscles. The muscles respond with involuntary contractions — exactly the movement you'd have to actively produce in classic training, but here triggered precisely and many times over.

Step by step

From impulse to strengthening.

1

Magnetic field

The chair generates a highly focused, pulsating magnetic field in the seating area.

2

Nerve stimulation

The field stimulates the motor nerves of the pelvic floor muscles.

3

Contraction

The muscles contract involuntarily — thousands of times per session.

4

Adaptation

As with any training, the muscle responds with more strength and endurance.

Why it's so effective

More contractions, less effort.

Deep effect

The magnetic field reaches deeper muscles that are hard to activate through the skin.

No effort on your part

You don't have to find or tense the right muscle yourself.

High repetition

Thousands of contractions per session — in a short time.

Discreet

Fully clothed, no electrodes, no examination.

Important note

MyPelvi is a training offer and does not replace a medical diagnosis or treatment. For persistent or new symptoms, we recommend seeking medical advice. We check whether magnetic stimulation is suitable for you in a short health check before your first session.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about the How it works.

How does magnetic stimulation work?+
A highly focused, pulsating magnetic field penetrates clothing and tissue and stimulates the nerves of the pelvic floor muscles. They respond with involuntary contractions — similar to active tensing, only more targeted and in far greater numbers.
Why does the training work while sitting?+
The pelvic floor sits in the pelvic area, right above the seat of the special chair. While sitting, the magnetic field can be aimed perfectly at this muscle group — without you having to take a specific posture or activate the muscle yourself.
How many contractions happen per session?+
Thousands of contractions are triggered per session — far more than would be possible with active exercise in a comparable time. That's why one session of around 22 minutes is enough.
Do I feel the activation?+
Yes, usually as a light tingling or rhythmic tensing in the pelvic area. It's painless. The intensity is set individually and increased slowly.
Is magnetic stimulation safe?+
The treatment is non-invasive, painless and works without medication, needles or skin contact. Restrictions apply to certain groups of people. Before your first session, we check whether it's suitable for you in a short health check.
How is this different from electrical stimulation?+
Electrical stimulation/Electrical stimulation works with electrodes on the skin. Magnetic stimulation works contact-free through clothing and reaches deeper muscles without skin contact. For the pelvic floor, that's especially practical and discreet.
Who is magnetic stimulation not suitable for?+
With a pacemaker or other electronic or metallic implants, during pregnancy, and with certain acute conditions, the treatment is not possible or only possible after consulting a doctor. We clarify this beforehand.
Has the effectiveness been studied scientifically?+
Pelvic floor training is considered a recognized component for pelvic floor weakness and incontinence; magnetic stimulation is also used and studied in this field. You'll find a factual overview of the evidence on our Studies & Science page.
